Access Control Configuration Wizards

Access Control Configuration policies allow you to perform the following functions:

• Make necessary additions, changes, or deletions to the list of who may access SirsiDynix Symphony and other SirsiDynix products
• Determine how SirsiDynix Symphony is accessed
• Specify what types of terminals the library uses as workstations
• Configure which commands, features, and wizards may be used by a particular user or class of user

Click the Access Control Configuration wizard group button to display the following wizards:

• Barcode Exempt Wizard
• Barcode Format Wizard
• Barcode Validation Wizard
• Barcode Verify Wizard
• Client ID Wizard
• Command List Wizard
• Data Control Role Wizard
• Environment Wizard
• Operator Wizard
• Request List Wizard
• Station Wizard
• User Access Wizard
• User PIN Policy Wizard
• User Profile Wizard

Policy lists and policy values can be downloaded to files on your workstation. See the Export Policies Helper topic for more information.

SirsiDynix sets up the initial access control configuration before the installation of SirsiDynix Symphony.

Only one user at a time can work with policies. This is a safeguard to prevent users from modifying the same policy at the same time.
