Request List Wizard

The Request List policy defines the types of requests that may be accessed by users as defined in their User Access policy.

From List Policies window, you can create, display, modify, copy, or remove the Request List policies. Clicking Close to exit the wizard.

Attributes

The Request List policy includes the following attributes.

Name

This attribute is a policy name identifying a list of request types. This name is ten characters or less, and may not include spaces or punctuation, except for dash (-), underscore (_), and dollar sign ($). Additionally, the pipe character (|) may not be used. The single Request List Name, when assigned to a user’s User Access, allows the user to place any request type in the list.

Description

This attribute provides more information about the policy and its use by the library. The description may be up to 60 characters in length. Although the Description attribute may contain spaces and punctuation, the pipe character (|) cannot be used. A request list description could be used to identify the group of users which should be using a given list of request types.

Requests

This attribute contains a list of request types. This list establishes what types of requests can be placed by users associated with a particular Request List policy. For instance, a library may create a list named “FACULTY” that allows literature search requests, purchase suggestions, and academic reserve requests, and a list named “STUDENT” that allows literature search requests, comments, and questions. Use the Policy List gadget to select request types.
