Policy List Gadget
This gadget allows you to select a list of policies in alphabetic order, or other data to be included in the wizard function.
To select policies for a limited list

Select policies in List to Choose From, and click the right arrow. This adds them to the selected policies in the List Selected pane to the right. |

If you add a policy that you decide you do not want, click the policy in the List Selected pane, and click the left arrow. The policy will be removed from the list. |

Click OK to save your selections. |
You can double-click a policy name to easily move the policy to and from the List to Choose From and List Selected panes.
When selecting format policies, the order of the format entries is important. After entries are added to the List Selected pane, you can move the entries up or down the list using the up and down arrows. ![](../../Resources/Images/UpArrow.gif)

In the Library Group policy, the order of Library policies is important if the Order Hold Fill feature is configured on your system. After Library policies are added to the List Selected pane, you can move the library names up or down using the up and down arrows. ![](../../Resources/Images/UpArrow.gif)

When filtering reports by owner, the Policy List gadget provides only the user accesses of report owners that currently have scheduled or template reports associated with them. Reports filtered by owner display in the order that the owners are selected. These policy names are not sorted alphabetically.
The maximum number of policies that can be selected is 500.
Depending on the function of the policies that may be selected, the following additional options may be available.
Includes Selected Policies
This gadget option allows for the inclusion of one or more policies from a list. If nothing is selected, all policies are included.
To select policies to include in the list, do the following.

Click Includes Selected Policies. |

Select policies in List to Choose From, and click the right arrow. This adds them to the selected policies in the List Selected pane to the right. |

Click OK to save your selections. |
Note: When using this gadget to make holding code selections for reports, you must select holding codes one at a time. You cannot select multiple holding codes at once.
Excludes Selected Policies
This gadget option allows for the exclusion of one or more policies from a list. Use this option to include most, but not all of the available policies. If nothing is selected, all policies are excluded.
To select policies to exclude in the list

Click Excludes Selected Policies. |

Click policies in List to Choose From, and click the right arrow. This adds them to the selected policies in the List Selected pane to the right. |

Note: When using this gadget to make holding code selections for reports, you must select holding codes one at a time. You cannot select multiple holding codes at once.
Contains Invalid Policy
This gadget option allows for the inclusion of records which contain invalid policy values.
Contains No Policy
This gadget option allows for the inclusion of records which contain no policy values.
All/Brief/Full/Template/List
These gadget options display when you are selecting Entry ID policies for a specific record format.

All – Displays all of the entry IDs, or tags, in numeric, then alphabetic order. If you click All, all entry IDs will be selected. |

Brief, Full, and Template – Will select the entry IDs that are included within each format. By selecting Brief, Full, or Template, you will automatically select the entry IDs that your library has determined to represent these levels. |
|

|
Selected – Allows you to select a specific list of entry IDs. If nothing is selected, the entry IDs associated with the Full format are included. |
The List to Choose From pane is active only when using the List option.
To select a specific list of entry ID

Select Entry ID policies in List to Choose From, and click the right arrow. This adds them to the selected policies in the List Selected pane to the right. |

When selecting entry IDs for a synonym list, you can also reorder the list of entries in the List Selected pane, since the order of the entry IDs in a synonym list is critical. When selecting an entry ID in the List Selected pane, two new buttons appear, Up and Down. Click these buttons to reorder the entry IDs by moving them up or down the list. |

Click OK to save your selections. |
All/List
This gadget option is likely to display when you are selecting data that will be modified by the report. The All option selects all of the policies, or you may select from a list of policies.
