User Credit Transaction Activity Report
• | Pipe-delimited Output |
Use the User Credit Transaction Activity (Acctstatement) report to produce statements showing the opening balance, deposit and withdrawal transactions, and closing balance in patron credit accounts for the specified time period. The report can be set up to mail statements to patrons.
This report is in the Circulation report group.

When the library address is included in a statement, the address is drawn from the user record with a user ID which matches the user ID attribute of the appropriate Library policy.
The User Credit Transaction Activity report contains the following tabs.
• | Basic Tab: Reports |
• | User Credit Transaction Activity Tab |
• | Patron Credit Selection Tab |
• | Produce Mailing Labels Tab |
• | Sorting Tab |
• | User Selection Tab |
• | User Status Selection Tab |
The patron credit account statement includes the starting balance and ending balance for the selected time period. For each transaction listed in the statement, the date and time, the user access that processed the transaction, workstation at which the transaction was made, transaction reason, transaction type, amount, and current balance (as of each transaction). Item information and/or bill information is listed with the transaction if the transaction is associated with an item and/ a bill.
Use the options on the Patron Credit Selection tab to select patron accounts for the report by balances, a date range in which accounts were created, and/or a date range in which accounts were last updated. You may also produce statements just for open, closed, or suspended credit accounts. The options on the User Selection tab and the User Status Selection can further refine the selection criteria for the patron credit accounts selected by the report.
The options on the User Credit Transaction Activity tab can be used to customize what information displays in the statements and how the information displays. The Transaction Date Range option specifies the range of dates that will be used to determine which transactions will be listed in the statement.
On the Sorting tab, you can specify that the results will be sorted by user ID, group ID, user name, or zip code. User ID is the default sort.
Address labels for mailing printed statements may be printed using the Produce Mailing Labels check box on the Produce Mailing Labels tab.
If Generate Pipe Delimited Output is selected on the User Credit Transaction Activity tab, the report creates a pipe-delimited file and places it in the /Rptprint directory with the naming convention of yyyymmdd_internalrptname.pipe. The report log lists the pipe-delimited report file name. This pipe-delimited file can be opened using a third-party application, such as a spreadsheet application.
Sorting selections made within the report are not applied to pipe-delimited files. For example, if you sort the report by zip code, the zip code sort is not applied to the contents of the pipe-delimited file.
The entries listed in the Brief Entries attribute of the User Address Format wizards are used to supply information for the address fields in the pipe-delimited file. The City/State field (if it is used) is evaluated as one field, not as two separate fields for the city and the state. The report will check user records for the fields listed in the Brief Entries attribute and print only the populated fields in the pipe-delimited output.
