The SirsiDynix Symphony Workstation server needs to be running to schedule and run this report, or the report will fail. Do not halt the SirsiDynix Symphony Workstation server until the report displays on the finished list.

This report contains the following tabs.

The Notify Users Wanting Text Messages report can send a variety of different text messages to patrons. This report can send messages about overdue items, holds available for pickup, bill notices, or general library announcements. Each message sent through this report can also update the notice sent counter if desired. You can also specify which message to send based on the notice count. Finally, you have all the typical filtering mechanisms for these reports.

To send the text messages, you must enable one or more of the message types on the sms_notice tab. For further instructions, see sms_notice Tab.

You can create one or more instances of the report if you want to split up the types of notices sent or based on filtering. You would also use an instance of this report to send a one-time library announcement to all patrons who have requested to receive them.
