List Inventory by Item Number Report
The List Inventory by Item Number (Invlist) report provides a list of items, permitting selection options at the catalog, call number, and item levels. By default, only call numbers with copies are selected.
The List Inventory in XML Format (Invxmllist) report is an XML version of the List Inventory by Item Number report. The List Inventory in XML Format report uses the same selection, sorting, and print output options. The difference is that this report will output report results in XML format, which can be loaded into a third-party spreadsheet application, such as Microsoft Excel.

The List Inventory in XML Format report does not support the print output of MARC holdings information.
These reports are in the Bibliographic Group Reports.
These reports contain the following tabs.
• | Basic Tab: Reports |
• | Call Number Selection Tab |
• | Item Selection Tab |
• | Print Item Tab |
• | Sorting Tab |
• | Title Selection Tab |
On the Sorting tab, you can select how results are sorted, either by author/title, call number, item ID, or title/author. Title/author is the default sorting method. Use the options on the Print Item tab to design your printed lists.
As an Inventory Function
During an inventory using a portable scanner, this report helps track items that were not inventoried. After the inventoried items have been loaded, run this report once with a Date Inventoried field on the Item Selection tab set to NEVER, and once with a Date Inventoried before the date set by the Set Inventory Date report and the date the Load Scanner Transactions report was run. (To reduce the occurrence of ”error 111” messages in the report log, set the Number of Copies field on the Call Number Selection tab to greater than zero. Select the Inventory Information check box on the Print Item tab to print inventory dates.)
These two lists will provide a complete list of the items that were never inventoried and those that were inventoried previously but not in the current inventory. Optimally, these items should be investigated to determine whether they are in fact missing. Any found items may either be inventoried using the scanner and loaded, or inventoried using the Inventory Item wizard on the Circulation toolbar. Then, to continue the inventory process, run the Charge to MISSING report.
