How do I run the Load Scanner Transactions report?
The Load Scanner Transactions (Loadscanner) report processes data from portable barcode scanners. For more information about this report, see Load Scanner Transactions Report.
To run the Load Scanner Transactions report

On the Reports toolbar, click the Schedule New Reports wizard. |

In the Display Template Reports window, click the Scanner tab. |
|

Select the Load Scanner Transactions (Loadscanner) report, and click Setup & Schedule. |
|

Make any desired changes on the Basic tab, and click the Item Selection tab. |
|

In the Library list, specify the library name(s) for which the scanner data is being loaded. In the Library field, you may click the gadget, select one or more library names under List to Choose From, and click OK. |
|

Click the Count of Transactions Loaded tab, and make selections for the following formatting options: |
|
•
|
To check for misordered scanned items in the scanned batch of records, click Yes for the Check Misordered option. Items shelved out of order will be listed in the report output. |
|
•
|
To check for unknown items in the scanned batch of records, select the Check Unknown check box. Unknown scanned items are items found in your inventory that are not in the library catalog. |
|
•
|
To use the short out-of-order format, select the Use Short Form check box. If out-of-order items are to be listed in the report output, the short format displays only the call number, copy number, and barcode of the misshelved items. If short format is not used, bibliographic information is included in addition to the call number, copy number, and barcode in the report output. |
|

To check for misordered copies in a call number, select the Check Misordered Copies check box. If items are in the shelf in call number order, but not in copy order number, these items will be listed in the report output. |
|

To specify the type of transaction, select either Inventory, Item Use, or Mixed Transactions in the Transaction Type list. |

In the Schedule [Report Name] window, select the ASAP option, and click Schedule to run the report as soon as WorkFlows has the resources to run the report (often immediately). |
How do I run the List Inventory by Item Number report?
This report can be run to identify items that have never been inventoried, items that were inventoried but not found in the most recent inventory, and to generate a list of the items that currently have a location of MISSING. To run the List Inventory by Item Number report

On the Reports toolbar, click the Schedule New Reports wizard. |

In the Display Template Reports window, click the Bibliographic tab. |
|

Select the List Inventory by Item Number (Invlist) report, and click Setup & Schedule. |
|

Make any desired changes on the Basic tab, and click the Item Selection tab. |
|

Supply the following information to obtain the indicated results: |

To obtain a list of items which have never been inventoried, click the Calendar gadget for the Date Inventoried box. Click No Date, and click OK to display the value of NEVER in the Date Inventoried box. |
|

|
To obtain a list of items that were inventoried earlier but not found in this inventory, click the Calendar gadget for the Date Inventoried box. Click Before, and type the date on which this latest inventory began in the Use Data for the Dates Before box. This date would usually be the report run date of the Set Inventory Date (Initinv) report. Click OK. |

To obtain a list of items currently missing, click the gadget for the Home Location box. Under List to Choose From, click MISSING, and click OK. |

Click the Sorting tab. Select Call Number in the Sorted By list. |
|

Click the Print Item tab. Under Call Number Information, select the Call Number Only option. |

In the Schedule [Report Name] window, select the ASAP option, and click Schedule to run the report as soon as WorkFlows has the resources to run the report (often immediately). |
How do I run the Charge to MISSING report?
The Charge to MISSING (Setmissing) report charges items that cannot be inventoried to the MISSING user ID. Before running this report, make sure that there is a user with the user ID of MISSING, the user location of MISSING, and a user profile that permits an unlimited number of charges. To run the Charge to MISSING report

Select the Charge to MISSING (Setmissing) report, and click Setup & Schedule. |

Type the password for the report, and click OK. |

How do I run the Set Items to DISCARD report?
To remove items not found in the inventory from the catalog
To run the Set Items to DISCARD report

On the Reports toolbar, click the Schedule New Reports wizard. |

In the Display Template Reports window, click the Scanner tab. |
|

Select the Set Items to DISCARD report, and click Setup & Schedule. |
|

Type the password for the report, and click OK. |
|

Make any desired changes on the Basic tab, and click the Home Locations tab. |
|

For the Home Locations box, click the gadget. Select MISSING under List to Choose From to select all items with a home location of MISSING, and click the Right Arrow button. You may also select other home locations to set to DISCARD. Items with the selected home locations that also have a current location of MISSING will be set to DISCARD. Click OK. |

If you want to further narrow the set of items to discard, make other selections on the Title Selection, Call Number Selection, and Item Selection tabs. |
|

On the Update Option tab, select the Update Database Records check box to actually change the item records to set the item location to DISCARD. (If you do not select this check box, the report runs in test mode and simply lists in the report output the records that would have been modified.) |

How do I run the Remove DISCARD Items report?
After items have been set to DISCARD, run the Remove DISCARD Items (Remdiscard) report to remove them from the catalog. For more information about this report, see Remove DISCARD Items Report.

Select the Remove DISCARD Items report, and click Setup & Schedule. |

By default, items with the current location of DISCARD are removed. Make any other item selections you want on the Item Selection tab. |
