Set Transmittal Method Report

The Set Transmittal Method (Settranmethod) report updates the transmittal method of classified items dispatched to external users. This report is in the Accountability Group Reports.

This report contains the following tabs.

The Transmittal Method field in the accountability record lists the method of shipping, such as COURIER, FEDEX, or USPOSTAL, used to send items to an external user. When an accountable item is created or charged to an accountability user, the field may be left blank. For an INTERNAL user, the field can remain blank. The Set Transmittal Method report is typically used to update the transmittal method of copies charged to EXTERNAL users. Alternately, users can update each copy individually as it is charged, or using the Modify Accountability wizard.

The only Copy Accountability Selection tab fields that are available are Receipt Number, Date Charged, and Charging Patron Type. At least one Receipt Number in the Copy Accountability Selection tab must be specified using the String List gadget. By default, any Date Charged is selected, and only EXTERNAL Charging Patron Types are selected.

The Transmittal Method field on the Transmittal Method tab is required. Copy information, which includes charge and classification information for copies that were updated with the specified transmittal method, are printed in the report output. You can customize the output by making selections on the Print Item tab.

Once the Set Transmittal Method and the Set Postal Reg. Num. (Setregnem) reports have run, the List/Print Dispatch Receipt (Printdispatch) report may be run to print a receipt for the external user to sign after receiving the charged accountable material.
