Authority Group Reports

The Authority group of reports is used only by libraries that have the Authority Module. Authority is used to maintain consistency between subject and name headings used in the bibliographic data. The Authority reports accomplish the following tasks.

•

Load new or updated authority records from another source into the SirsiDynix Symphony authority database

•

Complete the manual process of additions, deletions, and edits to authority data so that the changes are fully indexed, in addition to building the authority data so that thesauri references are accurate

•

Count and list selected authority records

•

List bibliographic records that have UNAUTHORIZED headings

•

Find authority headings without associated bibliographic headings

•

Update headings in the authority database
