Rebuild Authority Thesauri Report
This report is in the Authority group of reports.
On SirsiDynix Symphony K12 systems, this report is named ”Authority X-ref Rebuild.”
The Rebuild Authority Thesauri (Rebldthesauri) report completely removes existing thesauri, then rebuilds them using the authority database.
Run this report only under the direction of SirsiDynix Customer Support. This report is password protected. If you do not know the password, see your SirsiDynix Symphony administrator.
When this report is run on the Windows platform, the SirsiDynix Symphony server is stopped at the beginning of the report and restarted automatically when the report finishes. Users cannot access SirsiDynix Symphony using WorkFlows, the e-Library, WebCat, or Web2 while the SirsiDynix Symphony server is stopped. Do not restart the SirsiDynix Symphony server manually while this report is running.
The Rebuild Authority Thesauri report contains the Basic Tab: Reports.
Run this report under the following circumstances:
| • | A large number of new authority records have been loaded. |
| • | Authority thesaurus policies in authority formats have changed, and are to be retroactive. |
| • | There are significant problems with the thesaurus. |
You should not load, create, or edit any authority data when the rebuild reports are running.
It typically takes several hours for the Rebuild Authority Thesauri report to run, based on the size of the catalog.
