Serial Control Holding Flag Report
The Serial Control Holding Flag (Serctlholding) report enables the Automatically Update MARC Holdings field in the OPAC Display tab of selected serial control records. Serial Control records selected by this report must have a Distribution record defined or they will not be modified and will produce the following message in the report log.

The SirsiDynix Symphony Workstation server needs to be running to schedule and run this report, or the report will fail. Do not halt the SirsiDynix Symphony Workstation server until the report displays on the finished list.

Selecting the Automatically Update MARC Holdings field in the OPAC Display tab in batch makes it easier to later select MARC holdings for individual distributions. The Update MARC Holdings Record field in each distribution record is not modified by this report, and must be selected manually. To modify the display of MARC Holdings for predictions generated when the update features were not turned on, run the Prediction MARC Holding Status report.
