Update User Photo Helper
The Update User Photo helper allows you to add a photo to a user record from a file, replace a previous photo by loading a new one, capture and save a photo using a webcam, or delete an existing photo from a user record.
The Update User Photo helper is accessible from the New User Registration Wizard, the Modify User Wizard, and the Checkout Wizard based on what is set in each respective wizard's properties. If configured in the wizard properties, the Update User Photo helper is accessed by clicking on a user photo or on the user photo placeholder.

Important Considerations When Using this Helper
•
The \Workflows\tmp directory is cleared each time you exit the WorkFlows client. Patron photos are downloaded to the workstation on demand as wizards access patron photos. |
•
If the Capture Photo From Webcam button does not appear but you have a webcam configured for taking patron photos, make sure of the following. |
–
The webcam is plugged in. |
–
The webcam is not being used by another program. |
If the webcam meets these requirements but the Capture Photo From Webcam button is still missing, contact SirsiDynix Customer Support for assistance.
•
If connection to the webcam is lost, the capture view stops updating. You may choose to use the last image displayed in the capture view, or you may re-establish connection to the webcam and try again. After re-establishing connection to the webcam, restart the helper. |
Note: It may take a few seconds for the capture view window to close after the webcam has lost connection.
