Modifying an Order from an Order List

In the Modify Order wizard, if your order search results in a list of orders, follow this process.

In the order list, select an order to modify and click Modify Order.

The Modify Order window displays the Order and Orderline tabs, when the order has more than one orderline.

Click the Order tab, and a summary of order information appears. You can use the Display All Orderlines Helper to view summary information for all orderlines. Modify basic order information fields on the Order tab as desired. For more information, see the Order Tab: Acquisitions topic.

Click the Orderlines tab to display a list of orderlines.

Select an orderline, and use the Orderlines tab tools to display and modify the orderline. For more information, see the Orderlines Tab topic.

Click the Display Bibliographic Description tool (Display Bibliographic Description Helper) and view orderline title information.

•

Click the Display Order Tools and view detailed information about this orderline.

•

Click the Modify Orderline Tool to modify basic orderline information and fundings/distributions for this orderline.

Click Save Your Changes. If a “Funding/distribution cluster is not balanced” dialog box appears, click OK, and you are returned to the orderline’s Segments tab. You must balance the segments to continue.

Click Close, and you are returned to the Orderlines tab, where you can make changes to other orderlines.

After modifying an order, you may click one of the following options.

Save Your Changes to save order and orderline modifications

•

Return to Search to return to the search list of orders

•

New Search to search a new list of orders

•

Close to exit the Modify Order wizard

Important Considerations When Modifying an Order

•

If an on-order title has linked holds, the message “This title has holds” will appear above the wizard tabs.

•

You can create purchase orders within the wizard flow using the Produce Order Report Helper and View Order Reports Helper.

•

You can output orderline data to a file using the Save Order Line to File Helper.
