Snapshot Tab

The Snapshot tab of the Extract Snapshots for Reporting report lets you create or update specific snapshots of library data. This tab includes these fields.

Update

This option displays only for the Oracle version of the report. It specifies if the report will run in update mode.

When selected (the default), the report will update views for the selected snapshots with data that changed since the snapshot was created or refreshed. The Create option is disabled.

When this option is cleared, the Create option is active. The report will create views for the selected snapshots, dropping previously created views if they exist.

Note: You must clear the Update option and run the report before using Web Reporter for the first time.

Create

This option displays only for the Oracle version of the report. It specifies if the data snapshot and all functions are to be loaded, or if just the functions for creating snapshots are to be loaded. This option is disabled when Update is selected.

Description

Data and Functions

Loads the functions used to create views as well as the data. This is the default selection.

Functions Only

Loads only the functions used to create views. The data, if any, is unchanged. You would typically use this option only if instructed to do so by SirsiDynix.

Snapshots

Specifies the data snapshots to be updated or created. Use the Snapshot gadget beside the field to select snapshots (see Snapshot Gadget).

This field is set to ALL by default.

Subject Browse Index

Specifies the subject browse index to use for snapshots that include subject data.
