Fixed Fields Tab for the Format Policy
This tab displays a list of entry numbers and their fixed ID and name. Fixed fields differ from other entries in that the structure of these fields is defined; these fields are only applicable to MARC21 format records. For more information about fixed fields, go to the Library of Congress’ MARC 21 Concise Format for Bibliographic Data Web page (http:/lcweb.loc.gov/marc/bibliographic/ecbdldrd.html). You can also find a brief list of several MARC 21 format standards for cataloging at MARC 21 Format Standards for Cataloging.

Since fixed fields cannot be added or removed, the Create and Remove operation buttons on this tab are unavailable.
