Special Due Date Helper
When checking out or renewing an item, you can set a special due date and time for checkouts/renewals. Special due dates and times are typically used when special circumstances require the normal loan period to be extended.
To select a special due date

In the Special Due Date field, type or select the date and time the item(s) are to be due. You may use the Calendar gadget to select a due date and time. By default, the time is set to 11:59 PM (23:59). |

Select one of the following options. |

From Now On applies the due date to all items that are charged to users during the checkout session (or until the wizard is closed and restarted). |
|
•
|
For This User Only applies the due date to all items charged to the current user. The special due date is cleared when you begin to check out items to another user, or when you close and restart the wizard. |
|
•
|
For This Checkout Only applies the due date only to the individual item currently being charged. |
|

If your SirsiDynix Symphony configuration requires an override for alternate due dates, you will be asked to type an override code in the Due Date Override field. If your SirsiDynix Symphony configuration does not require an override code to set the alternate due date, you will be returned to the checkout or renewal process. |

After returning to the checkout or renewal process, scan the item’s barcode in the Item ID field. |
The specified special due date is reset when you complete a user’s checkout and click Check Out to New User, or when you exit the wizard.
