Claim reasons are defined by the SirsiDynix Symphony administrator in policies and can correspond to a particular vendor’s numeric claim coding as well as a mnemonic name. A claim reason is only required if a claim notice is to be generated using reports. Use the Policy List gadget to select claim reasons.

Note: Selecting No Date (NEVER) for the date claimed may not select predictions never claimed, because the claim record is typically created only after it has been claimed. Instead, set the Any Claimed Prediction Selection to No in the List Serial Predictions report.

If no claim notice has yet been sent, this date indicates the date the first claim will be sent.
