The Communication Selection tab displays for reports that are associated with the SirsiDynix Voice Automation (SVA) telephone notification system. The Communication Selection tab options may vary by report, and may include the following selections.

Date Last Failed

Date Last Failed is the date that the communication was last attempted and failed. Use the Date Range gadget to select a date.

Library

Library is the Pickup library if specified, or the item library if not specified. Use the Policy List gadget to select a value.

Number of Failed Attempts

Number of Failed Attempts is the number that increments automatically each time the call is attempted and failed. The number of failed attempts is set to greater than three by default. Use the Number Range gadget to select a value. When the Prepare Notices report is run each day, the Number of Failed Attempts counter is reset to 0.

Status

Status shows the current state of the communication and its attached notices. Use the Policy List gadget to select one or more of the following values.

READY indicates that the user has not yet been called.
IN_PROCESS means that delivery of the notices attached to the communication is currently being attempted.
FAILED means that all notices attached to the communication have the notice status of FAILED, and were not delivered to the user. This value is the default selection.
SUCCESS indicates that all notices attached to the communication were successfully delivered to the user.
TRYING shows that at least one attempt has been made to call the user and deliver the notices, but the communication has not yet been successful.
SUPERSEDED means that all active notices attached to the communication has a notice status of SUPERSEDED. A notice is superseded when a circulation activity occurs before the notice was delivered. For example, an available hold notice was created, but the user picked up the book before SVA could notify the user with a phone call. In this case, the notice’s status changes from READY to SUPERSEDED.
