Reorganize Text Dictionary Report
The Reorganize Text Dictionary (Reorgtext) report reorganizes text dictionaries for all indexes. It reorganizes files, recovering disk space and optimizing performance.
If your system has more than 500,000 records, it is recommended that you run the Reorganize Text Dictionary report with the Text option selected (on the Reorg Selection tab) which is optimized for speed, rather than running the Reorganize Text Indexes report.
Run this report at least weekly.
When this report is run on the Windows platform, the SirsiDynix Symphony server is stopped at the beginning of the report and restarted automatically when the report finishes. Users cannot access SirsiDynix Symphony using WorkFlows or the e-Library while the SirsiDynix Symphony server is stopped. Do not restart the SirsiDynix Symphony server manually while this report is running.
It is recommended that you run this report at night or when few users would be using the library system.
