Rebuild Metadata Database Report

The Rebuild Metadata Database (Rebldmetadata) report rebuilds the metadata database from current Hyperion resources. This report reindexes resource metadata records. It uses the BRS search engine. It is similar to the Rebuild Text Database (Rebuildtext) report for SirsiDynix Symphony.

It is recommended that this report only be run as needed.

This report is password protected. If you do not know the password, see your system administrator.

When this report is run on the Windows platform, the SirsiDynix Symphony server is stopped at the beginning of the report and restarted automatically when the report finishes. Users cannot access SirsiDynix Symphony using WorkFlows, the e-Library, WebCat, or Web2 while the SirsiDynix Symphony server is stopped. Do not restart the SirsiDynix Symphony server manually while this report is running.

The Rebuild Metadata Database report contains the following tabs.

On the Number of Documents to Load tab, indicate the quantity of documents to load into the rebuilt database by typing a number between 1000 and 50,000 in the Number of Documents to Load field.
