Rebuild Heading Display Database Report

The Rebuild Heading Display Database (rebuildheaddsp) report builds the mixed-case heading display databases. This report allows you to rebuild the special headings databases instead of running the Rebuild Heading Databases report, which rebuilds all heading databases and can take a long time to run on some systems. Unlike the Rebuild Heading Databases report, there is no requirement to run the Rebuild Text Database report after running this report.

The mixed-case headings enhancement is for display only, and does not affect any SirsiDynix Symphony functionality sites are accustomed to. The mixed-case headings are created from the heading display databases for display only. The authority index and authority databases still function as the control for authority processing as they always have.
