Basic Tab for Address and EDI Address Formats
The Basic tab appears when you click a User Address, Vendor Address, or EDI Address Format wizard button.
This tab contains the following attributes.

Only the Description attribute can be modified.

This attribute uniquely identifies the Format policy. This name is ten characters or less, and may not include spaces or punctuation, except for dash (-), underscore (_), and dollar sign ($). Additionally, the pipe character (|) may not be used.
This attribute describes the purpose of the Format policy, and is used for reference purposes only. The description may be up to 60 characters in length. Although the Description attribute may contain spaces and punctuation, the pipe character (|) cannot be used.
This attribute contains the type of records that will use this Format policy. The record type used for address-purpose and EDI address-purpose formats is OTHER.
This attribute specifies how this Format policy will be used with SirsiDynix Symphony records. SirsiDynix Symphony assigns the purpose when a format is created. For instance, when creating a new Vendor EDI Address Format policy, SirsiDynix Symphony will assign the VEDIADDR purpose to the format.
