Inventory Item Wizard
The Inventory Item wizard is used to create a physical inventory list of items by entering item IDs. This wizard updates the Times Inventoried counter and the Date Inventoried field in the item record.

2 | In the Item ID box, scan the item’s ID. You can also use the Item Search helper to identify items. |
If the Current item record displays, the last item record displayed, modified, or added is retained. Click this button to select this item.
Note: If WorkFlows determines that the item currently should be anywhere but on the shelf in its home location, an alert message displays to indicate what should be done with the item. Click OK to close the alert message. For example, if a user in another library put a hold on the item, the alert message will suggest that the item be put in transit to the other library to satisfy the hold.
A list of physically inventoried items appears. This list includes the call number/copy and Item ID (barcode) of each item. Click glossary links to display more information.
You can sort items in the List of Items Inventoried in ascending or descending order. To do this, simply click the column heading of the column you want to sort.
3 | The insertion point automatically returns to the Item ID box as each item is added to the list, so multiple items can be easily inventoried. |
Note: If you need to replace a missing, damaged, or temporary barcode, click the Change Item ID helper on the Inventory Item window.
4 | Repeat the previous steps for each item you want to inventory. |
After an item has been counted and added to the list, you may select one of the following options:
• | Inventory Item to inventory another item. |
• | Clear List to clear the list of items inventoried. |
• | Close to exit the Inventory Item wizard. |
