Once you have added all the required items to the set, type a Set ID or allow the generated Set ID to remain. |
Note: If your library is using barcode validation, the set ID assigned to the set should follow the barcode validation rules for your library. This is because the set will circulate using the set ID.

Choose a Category from the list, if required. |
7
Type a Description of the set, if required. |

Important Considerations When Using this Wizard
•
A Parental circulation set has a separate bibliographic and item record designated as the parent item. When items circulate as part of a parent circulation set, the items are circulated using the circulation map for the parent item. All items within the group have the same loan period and circulation rule. |
•
If a library is not selected when creating a circulation set, the station library of the user’s login will be used instead. |
•
An item cannot belong to more than one circulation set. When a set is created or an item is added to a set, the system will check to see if the item already belongs to a set, and if so, prevent the item from being added to the new set. |
•
When creating a large set where the item type override could be met, it is recommended that you set up the set as a parental-type set and have a high charge limit (at least the same as the number of items in the set) in the parent item’s circulation rule. |
•
Floating items cannot be included in circulation sets. Items should always belong to the library that owns the set. When creating a circulation set, take care not to select floating items. |
