Delete Order Wizard
The Delete Order wizard guides you through the process of deleting an orderline from an order record or removing all orderlines and the entire order. The Delete Order wizard can be used in the following ways.

To remove a single line item on an order record |

To remove all line items and the order record |

To remove an order record that has no line items on it |
To delete an order and/or orderlines

In the Order Search step, identify the order you want to delete. |
|

If you searched by catalog information and any title matched, a list of titles appears. Select one and click Delete Order to continue. If more than one order is linked to the title, a list of orders appears. |

If you searched by order information and any orders match, a list of orders appear. If you searched by Order ID and did not type text to search, all of the orders for a particular fiscal cycle and library appear. To display all cycles of any order, select an order in the list and click Display All Cycles. |

To delete an order in the list, select an order ID and click Delete Order. |
The following process assumes that you searched a multi-line order. If your search resulted in an order with a single orderline, or you searched a specific orderline from an order, see Deleting Orderlines.

In the Delete Order window, the Order and Orderline tabs appear. |

Click the Order tab, and a summary of order information appears. You can use the Display All Orderlines Helper to view summary information for all orderlines. Verify that this is the order you want to delete. For more information about the order summary, see the Order Tab: Acquisitions topic. |

Click the Orderlines tab to display a list of orderlines. For more information about the orderline fields, see the Orderlines Tab topic. The following tools are available. |

Above the Orderline list are two removal options: Delete Order and All Orderline(s) and Delete Selected Orderlines. Click one option. |
|

Click Delete Order and All Orderline(s), and the orderline selection check boxes disappear: all orderlines are marked for removal. |

•
|
Or, click Delete Selected Orderlines, and select the check boxes next to the individual orderlines you want to delete; only the selected orderlines will be removed. |

When you click Delete Order, a confirmation dialog box appears. Click Yes, and a completion dialog box appears indicating the number of orderlines removed. If you selected to delete the order, the completion dialog box verifies it was removed. |
After an order and/or orderlines have been deleted, you may click one of the following options.

Delete Order after selecting additional orderlines to remove |
|
•
|
Return to Search to return to the search list of orders |
|
•
|
New Search to search a new list of orders |
|
•
|
Close to exit the Delete Order wizard |
Important Considerations When Using this Wizard
|
•
|
If you remove the last orderline of an order, the order is also removed. |
|
•
|
Orders that have been paid or have linked invoices cannot be removed. |
|
•
|
If an orderline is linked to an on-order title hold, a warning message “This title has holds” will appear in the orderline header. You will have the option to continue with the deleting the orderline by clicking Yes, or click No to return to the Orderlines tab. |
