Bib Error Files Tab: MARC Import Utility Wizard
The Bib Error Files tab in the MARC Import Utility wizard allows you to view or copy bibliographic record load error files, and to remove obsolete bibliographic record load error files.

Sorting the List of Bibliographic Load Error Files
The list of bibliographic load error files can be sorted to make it easier to find the file you want to view, copy, or remove.
To sort the list of bibliographic load error files

In the MARC Import Utility wizard, click the Bib Error Files tab. |

Select one of the following Sort By options. |
|

Date sorts the files by date in ascending order. |
|
•
|
Library Policy Number sorts the list by the each library’s library policy number in ascending order. To see a list of Library Policy numbers, names, and descriptions, click the Library Policy Number Helper. |
Viewing Bibliographic Load Error Files
To select and view bibliographic load error files

In the MARC Import Utility wizard, click the Bib Error Files tab. |

Under File List, a list of bibliographic load error files for MARC records that were not successfully loaded appears. Select a file in the list, and click View. |

In the File Type option, do one of the following. |
|

Click MARC to display records in MARC format. |
|
•
|
Click Sirsi Flat to display records in text format. |
|

Click OK. Your word processing package starts, and the file in text format or MARC format appears. |
|

When you have finished viewing the file, close the word processor window. |
|

|
Click Cancel if you want to exit the MARC Import Utility wizard. |
Copying Bibliographic Load Error Files
You can copy a bibliographic load error file from the
/Unicorn/Marcimport/Biberror directory to the /Unicorn/Marcimport directory so the bibliographic records can be loaded into the catalog.
To copy a bibliographic load error file

In the MARC Import Utility wizard, click the Bib Error Files tab. |

Under File List, a list of bibliographic load error files appears. Select a file, and click Copy. |
|

|
Click Cancel if you want to exit the MARC Import Utility wizard. |
Removing Obsolete Bibliographic Load Error Files
To conserve disk space, bibliographic load error files should be removed periodically.
To remove a bibliographic load error file

In the MARC Import Utility wizard, click the Bib Error Files tab. |

Under File List, a list of bibliographic load error files appears. Select a file, and click Remove. |
|
3
|
Click Cancel if you want to exit the MARC Import Utility wizard. |
