Holding Code Table for EDI Wizard
The Holding Code Table for EDI wizard is used to create a table of vendor holding codes where the 10-character SirsiDynix Symphony policy fields are translated to vendor-specific values (typically less than 10 characters) that represent Library, Location, and Item Type. In the Book X12 Orders report, you can specify whether to use the SirsiDynix Symphony holding codes or a vendor holding code table. The vendor holding code tables you create in this wizard will appear for selection in the list.

After you click Save, the SirsiDynix Symphony holding codes defined on your system will display in a table. The current Library, Location, and Item values for each holding code display. These values cannot be edited. A text box appears next to each current value. In each text box, type a new value according to the vendor’s specifications. For example, some vendors require that policy values be no more than five characters in length, so for the CARNEGIE Library policy in SirsiDynix Symphony, type CARNE. |
