Default publication cycle values are based on the frequency of the bibliographic record. If there is no frequency associated with the record when you create the control, you can use the Replace Patterns helper to select an existing template. Templates provide a pattern with corresponding chronology, enumeration, and limit to help you get started.
If you need to create a complex publication cycle that is common to your library’s subscriptions, you may use the Make this Pattern a Template helper to save the pattern for use in other serial controls.
