Request Selection Tab

The Request Selection tab appears in reports that include requests based on selected criteria. The tab may contain any of the following options, depending on the report.

Associated with Item

If selected, the report selects only requests that are tied to a specific item. If cleared, the requests that are not associated with an item will be selected. A request may be associated with both an item and a user.

Associated with User

If selected, the report selects only requests that are associated with a specific user. Requests not associated with a user may not have the same priority. If cleared, the requests that are not associated with a user will be selected. A request may be associated with both a user and an item.

Date Modified

All requests in the report were modified by patrons or library staff on this specified date. Any modifications made to the request record will update the date modified. To select a range of dates, use the Date Range gadget.

Date Placed

All requests in the report were placed by patrons or created by library staff on this specified date. This field is maintained by SirsiDynix Symphony and cannot be modified directly. To select a range of dates, use the Date Range gadget.

Date Replied

All requests in the report had a reply sent to the user on this specified date. The date replied in the request record is manually updated by library staff. As long as the request does not yet have a reply, or the reply is not ready to be seen by the user, this date should remain NEVER. To select a range of dates, use the Date Range gadget.

Date Viewed

All requests in the report were viewed by the user on this specified date. As long as the reply date is NEVER, the user cannot view the reply. As long as the date viewed is NEVER, the user can view the request and reply under Public Access USER INFORMATION. Once viewed, the date viewed field is set. To select a range of dates, use the Date Range gadget.

Origin Library

The origin library is the library where the request was originally placed. This library is based on the station library of the user’s login. For instance, if a staff member in BRANCH_A placed a hold on a book in the MAIN library, to be filled by the staff in MAIN, BRANCH_A would be the origin library. This field is maintained by SirsiDynix Symphony and cannot be modified directly. Use the Policy List gadget to select libraries. If no value is selected, all libraries are included.

Service Library

The service library is the library where the request will actually be filled. For instance, if a staff member in BRANCH_A placed a hold on a book in the MAIN library, to be filled by the staff in MAIN, the BRANCH_A staff would modify the service library to MAIN. Use the Policy List gadget to select libraries. If no value is selected, all libraries are included.

Status

All requests in the report are the specified status. Statuses indicate the state of the request, such as NEW, REPLIED, ONORDER, HOLDPLACED, HOLDFAILED, or PROBLEM. Statuses can be defined in your policies. Use the Policy List gadget to select libraries. If no value is selected, all libraries are included.

Type

All requests in the report have are of the specified type. Use the Policy List gadget to select request types. If no value is selected, all requests are included.

User Access

All requests in the report were placed by the specified User Access. Use the Policy List gadget to select user accesses. If no value is selected, all user accesses are included.
