Search Route Interest Records Report

The SirsiDynix Symphony Workstation server needs to be running to schedule and run this report, or the report will fail. Do not halt the SirsiDynix Symphony Workstation server until the report displays on the finished list.

The Search Route Interest Records (Routesearchint) report performs like the Search Interest wizard in "batch mode" for users on a selected outreach route. The report places as many title level holds on items retrieved for the delivery as specified by each selected outreach user's Total Items Requested field. SirsiDynix Symphony automatically creates history records with a status of SELECT for items retrieved by this report.

Use the Suggest User Interest Records report if you simply want to list suggestions for materials, but do not want to create the interest records and place the holds.

Use the Search User Interest Records report to search interests by selected users.

When running this report, at least one route ID must be specified on the Route ID tab.

In multilibrary systems, a specific library may be selected in the Search Library field on the Search Library tab to restrict the item search to a particular library. The field may be left blank so the report will search all libraries in the system for items. By default, the Search Library field is set to the station library.

The report selects records using the same restrictions that apply when the Search Interest wizard selects records. Unlike the Search Interest wizard, the Search Route Interest Records report selects the exact number of items in the Total Items Requested field of the users' interest profiles, and does not include alternate selections. When records are selected, a title level hold is placed on the number of items requested. The range of the title level hold is determined by the Range for Outreach Holds attribute in the Outreach wizard. (The Outreach wizard is in the Module Configuration Wizards group on the Configuration toolbar.).

The results of this report are embedded in the report log. Do not select to view, print, or email results only, or the system will return an error message. In the View Finished Reports window, if you select the View Results check box but do not select the Format Report check box, WordPad may open and begin the unformatted report output with the following formatting text.
