Index of Alternative IDs Report

This report is password protected. If you do not know the password, see your SirsiDynix Symphony administrator. Only run the Index of Alternative IDs report under the direction of SirsiDynix Customer Support and after a full system backup.

The Index of Alternative IDs (Indexaltid) report modifies your database by either adding a previously nonexistent Alternative ID Index, or by removing an existing Alternative ID Index. Currently, the Alternative ID Index is always delivered with new systems, but if your system has been installed for some time, you may not have an indexing method for alternative IDs. If you want to create this option, or remove an existing alt ID index, use this report.

When adding the index, the Index of Alternative IDs report detects user records that contain non-unique Alt ID fields and prints a message describing the problem. If non-unique Alt ID fields are found, the Alt ID fields are not indexed and cannot be indexed until the duplicate Alt ID fields have been made unique.
