Add, Delete, Update Metadata Report

The Add, Delete, Update Metadata (Adumetadata) report makes additions, deletions, and updates to the metadata database.

This report contains the Basic Tab: Reports.

This report indexes resources and extended metadata records. It updates the full text database based on the resource types and is similar to the Add, Delete, Update Databases report that is used in SirsiDynix Symphony. This report should always be run daily, but particularly when the Hyperion Digital Media Archive (DMA) is being created or while it is undergoing other major changes, such as a large volume of additions, deletions, or other resource updates to the database.

Run this report daily.

When this report is run on the Windows platform, the SirsiDynix Symphony server is stopped at the beginning of the report and restarted automatically when the report finishes. Users cannot access SirsiDynix Symphony through WorkFlows, e-Library, WebCat, or Web2 while the SirsiDynix Symphony server is stopped. Do not restart the SirsiDynix Symphony server manually while this report is running.
