Create Template Wizard

The Create Template wizard is part of the Template Information and Maintenance group wizard and enables you to create interest profiles to be used as templates for outreach users.

Templates are general interest topics such as sports, history, gardening, or mystery, that any number of users might have in common.

To create a template

In the Template Information and Maintenance group, click the Create Template wizard.

In the Create Template Profile window, type or select the appropriate information to create the template starting with the Interest field and the Search String field.

In the Interest field, type an interest name. For example, the interest template can be named Sports.

Type one or more search terms separated by commas in the Search String box. Using the Sports example, you can type baseball, soccer, basketball in the box.

Type the maximum number of items that can be suggested or selected for the interest in the Items Requested box.

In the Interval Days box, type the number of days that must elapse before the item can be selected again for the same user.

The remaining boxes and lists can be used to narrow the search for items. If you do not type or select values for the boxes or lists, the template will use a general interest search.

Click Create Template to create the interest template. A Record Created message will display on a dialog box to confirm the record has been created. Click OK to close the box.

After creating a template, you can select one of the following options.

Modify Template to make changes to the template you just created.

•

Create Another Template to return to the Create Template Profile window to create a new interest template.

•

Close to exit the Create Template wizard.
