Create Route Wizard
The Create Route wizard is used to establish a new outreach delivery route. This wizard is part of the Route Information and Maintenance wizard group on the Outreach toolbar.
To create an outreach route

In the Route Information and Maintenance wizard group, click the Create Route wizard. |
The Identify New Outreach Route window displays.

In the Route ID field, specify a unique ID of up to 20 uppercase letters and/or numbers for the route. This ID must be unique to the library for which the route is being created. |
If you type AUTO in the Route ID field, or if the Auto Generate Route ID check box is selected in the Create Route wizard properties, SirsiDynix Symphony will assign a unique route ID when the route record is created.

In the Route Name field, type a descriptive name of up to 70 mixed-case letters and/or numbers for the route. |

If your library is part of a multilibrary system, the Library field displays. In the Library list, select the name of the library that is to own the outreach delivery route. If you do not specify a library, and no default library is specified in the Create Route wizard properties, the station library is assigned by default. |
A basic outreach route record is created. The displayed outreach route record contains the Route tab and the Outreach Users tab.

In the Route tab, add or modify information for the delivery route. |

Click the Outreach Users tab, and add users to the delivery route. You can create an outreach route without adding users at this time, and modify the route later to add users. |
Tools on the Outreach Users tab can add users to the route, remove users from the route, modify user information, and display user information.

Click Modify Route to save your changes to the outreach route record. |

Click Close to exit the wizard. |
