From the Display Resource Type Attributes Policy List window, click New. |

Type a new Resource Type Attributes Name. The name in this field must be 1 to 10 characters in length. |

Type a Description that is 1 to 40 characters in length. |

Select the Type of this Resource Type Attribute Content. |

Click the Display Policy List gadget to select a Format to be used for extended attributes. |

Select an Icon to represent this Resource Type Attribute in the WorkFlows staff client. |

Select a WebCat Icon to represent this Resource Type Attribute in the e-Library. |

Click the Select from Policy List gadget to select Resource Type Attributes that can be children of this new Resource Type Attributes. |

Click Save to complete the creation of the new Resource Type Attribute. |
How do I create Hyperion Extended Attribute Format policies?
The following sample attributes are found in the Dublin Core format, which is delivered with Hyperion. These attributes display as a template whenever one of the Create Resource helpers is selected. To create additional attributes, refer to the procedure following the attribute list

Title defines the name given to the resource by the creator or publisher. |
|
•
|
Author or Creator contains the name of the person or organization that was primarily responsible for the content of the resource. |
|
•
|
Subject and Keywords could be a subject or even classification numbers. |
|
•
|
Description could be used for an abstract. |
|
•
|
Publisher specifies the party responsible for the resource in its available format. |
|
•
|
Other Contributors could specify persons or organizations which have made significant contributions to the resource but whose contribution is secondary to that found in the Creator element. |

•
|
Date contains the date it was made available in its present form. The recommendation is to use an 8-digit number in the form of YYYYMMDD. |
|
•
|
Resource Type defines the category of the resource such as the home page, novel, essay, or technical report. |
|
•
|
Format specifies the data representation of the resource such as ASCII, JPEG, or text/html. |
|
•
|
Resource Identifier specifies a number or ID that identifies the resource. This could be the ISBN, URLs, or URNs. |
|
•
|
Source identifies the work from which this resource was derived originally. |
|
•
|
Language specifies for the language of the resource. |
|
•
|
Relation could contain the relationship to other resources. |
|
•
|
Coverage contains the spatial location or temporal duration found in the resource. |
|
•
|
Rights Management could be a link to a copyright statement. |
How do I create a simple entry id?
