Configure Display Of User Information Header Policy
On SirsiDynix Symphony systems, a detailed user information header can be displayed at the top of circulation wizard windows. The information header displays user information that typically appears in the user glossaries of circulation wizards. The Configure Display Of User Information Header policy determines how much user information is displayed in each wizard that supports user lookup.
The Configure Display Of User Information Header policy is a Global Configuration policy that is read by the WorkFlows client at startup and stored as a global variable. This policy appears on the Circulation tab of the Global Configuration wizard. From the Modify Setting window, you can modify this policy. The default value for this policy appears in the Select a Policy window. To modify this value, select Configure Display Of User Information Header and click Modify. Click a radio button to select one of the policy attributes. Click Save to save your selection. By default, brief user information appears for all SirsiDynix Symphony systems.
Attributes
This policy contains the following attributes.
• | Display Brief User Information |
• | Display Expanded User Information |
• | Display User Status Information |
Display Brief User Information
Click this option to display only brief user information, typically user ID and profile name. An image of the user's signature also displays, if one exists. By default, this option is selected.
Note: If you select this attribute and patron photos are configured to display globally in the Display Of User Photograph Policy and in your individual library's policy, WorkFlows will ignore this attribute and switch the display type to an expanded user information display.
The Display Of User Photograph Policy is configured in the Global Configuration Wizard. Individual library policies are configured in the Library Wizard.
Display Expanded User Information
Click this option to display expanded user information, such as name, user ID, group ID, and profile name. Patron photos may display in this header if the Display Patron Photographs feature is configured, and patron signature images may display if the Display User Signature attribute is selected in the Library policy of a given library.
To help address performance issues, sites may use this selection to display the same fields that appear in a patron photo display, but without the photo (Display Patron Photographs feature is not configured).
Display User Status Information
Click this option to display user information and also user status information, including overdues, bills, holds, user category information, and more. Patron photos may display in this header if the Display Patron Photographs feature is configured, and patron signature images may display if the Display User Signature attribute is selected in the Library policy of a given library.
