Barcodes Wizard
Libraries have the ability to create custom barcode validation formats for item and user barcodes. The Barcode Validation feature includes a system configuration option, Custom Barcode Validation. Once configured, two configuration wizards will appear in the Access Control configuration group.
• | Barcodes Wizard – This configuration wizard allows you to select the barcode subformats to be included a barcode validation policy. These subformats are defined using the Barcode Format Wizard. |
• | Barcode Format Wizard – This configuration wizard allows you to define the characteristics of the barcode subformat policy including: barcode type, minimum length, maximum length, required characters, character set, preprocessing, check digit offset, and more. The DRA Classic-style barcode subformats are delivered. |
To configure the Custom Barcode Validation feature, contact SirsiDynix Customer Support. For more information, see the Barcode Validation Wizard topic.
All former DRA Classic style barcodes and Sirsi barcodes are supported.
From the List Policies window, you can create, display, modify, copy, or remove the Barcodes policies. Click Close to exit the wizard.
