Remove Group Holds Helper
The Remove Group Holds helper allows you to view and select holds for members of a group for removal. You may remove all holds for group or an individual group members’ holds. This helper is located in the Remove User Holds wizard.
To remove holds for a group
1 | In the Holds group, click the Remove User Holds wizard. |
2 | Click the Remove Group Holds helper. |
The User Search window displays.
3 | Do one of the following: |
• | To browse for a user group name, type the search text in the Search For box, click Browse User Group under Type, and click Search. |
If more than one user group name matches the search text, select the user group you want under List of User Groups, and click Find User Group Information.
• | If you do not know the user group name, you can search for the group by an individual group member. Type the search text in the Search For box, click Keyword or Browse under Type, and click Search. |
If more than one user name matches the search text, select the user you want under List of Users, and click Find User Group Information.
Note: If the selected user is not part of a user group, a message displays, and you are returned to the User Search window.
The selected user group displays as a tree structure, with the user group name at the top level and the members listed underneath.
4 | Do one of the following. |
• | To remove one or more holds for a member of the user group, expand the list of holds for the group member by clicking the plus sign (+) next to the member’s user ID. Select the check box next to the hold you want to remove, or select the check box next to the user ID to select all of the user’s holds for removal. If you select a user ID or hold by mistake, click the check box again to remove the selection check mark. |
When you select a group member who has holds, a list of holds for that member displays under the member’s user ID. The area to the right of the tree structure displays user information when you select a user ID. Hold information displays for each hold as you select it.
Note: If a member of the user group does not have any holds, the member’s user ID is not active, and the check box next to the user ID cannot be selected.
• | Select the check box next to the group name to select all holds for the group for removal. |
5 | Click Remove. |
If the Display Summary Screen property is selected in the wizard properties, the Remove Holds confirmation dialog box displays and lists the user ID, item ID, and title for each hold that was removed. Click Close to close the confirmation dialog box.
If the Display Summary Screen property is not selected in the wizard properties, you are returned to the Remove User Hold window.
6 | Repeat the previous steps for each user group for which you want to remove holds. |
7 | Click Close to exit the wizard. |
