Add Temporary Title Helper
The Add Temporary Title helper allows you to order a title that has not yet been entered into the catalog.
To add a temporary title

In the order wizard’s behavior properties, make sure the Require Adding a Temporary Title for Each Orderline or Allow Search and Selecting an Existing Title/Add Temporary Title in the Title Lookup Options is selected. Click the Add Temporary Title button to set the helper properties. |

Begin the order wizard as usual, but in the Item Search, click the Add Temporary Title helper to begin using the Add Temporary Title function. |

On the Bibliographic tab, use the Record Editor to type the required Title and Author information, if known. For more information go to About the Record Editor Window. |

Click the Call Number/Item tab. Type a Call Number for this title. Select a Class Scheme from the list. AUTO is the default class scheme. Select a Library for which the call number will be added from the list. Select or clear the Shadow Call Number check box. |

Click Save to save the temporary title information. If you click Close before saving the record, the temporary title record is deleted. |

After adding the temporary record, you can click Order This Title which places you back into the wizard work flow, or you may make more changes before ordering. |
Users can only create call numbers and items for libraries in their Call Number Maintenance and Item Maintenance library groups.
If you attempt to change the format of the record on the Control tab, the helper will require you to save your changes before changing the format.
