Add/Remove Individual Reserve Wizard
The individual instructor/course reserve record provides information about the instructor who requested the material for reserve, as well as the course for which the reserve material is needed. The Add/Remove Individual Reserve wizard is used to create an additional individual instructor/course reserve record for an existing reserve control record or to remove an individual instructor/course reserve record without removing the entire existing reserve record. Using the item ID or call number of the existing reserve control record, SirsiDynix Symphony links the new individual instructor/course reserve record with the existing reserve control record, or removes the selected individual instructor/course reserve record from the existing reserve control record.
To add/remove an individual reserve

In the Reserve Information and Maintenance group, click the Add/Remove Individual Reserve wizard. |

In the Item ID box, scan the item’s barcode or identify the item by selecting another type of search. |

Review the displayed information and do one of the following: |

To add a new instructor/course record, complete the Instructor ID, Expires, Course ID, and Stage fields, and then click Add Instructor/Course Record. For information on these fields, go to Individual Reserve Tab. |

To remove an instructor or course record, select the Remove check box next to the instructor/course record you want to remove from the list of individual reserves, and then click Remove Instructor/Course Record(s). The individual reserve record is removed. |
After successfully adding or removing individual reserve records, select one of these options.

Important Considerations When Using this Wizard

If a Reserve Desk has not yet been selected in your WorkFlows session, a message displays to select a Reserve Desk. Click OK to close the message. The Session Settings window appears. Specify the Reserve Desk you want to use for the Academic Reserves wizards |

|
If a current record exists for the item, click the Current record button to access the last record displayed, modified, or added. |
|
•
|
Click the Basic Information tab to review basic and reserve information about the reserve item. |
|
•
|
If you entered the item ID manually, click Get Reserve Information to display item information. If the item has any exceptions, a status alert may display. |
|

|
You can sort listed individual reserves in ascending or descending order. To do this, simply click the column heading of the column you want to sort. |

|
If a date is not entered in the Expires field, SirsiDynix Symphony defaults to the expiration date of the reserve control record. |
|
•
|
You cannot delete the last individual reserve record from the Add/Remove Individual Reserve wizard. Use the Remove Reserve wizard to remove the reserve record completely. |
