Birth Date Gadget
The Birth Date gadget is used to select a user’s birth date. It is located on the Demographics tab of the following wizards.
To enter a user’s birthdate

Scan or type the User ID in one of the user wizards, listed previously. |

Click the Demographics tab. |

Click the Birthdate gadget.  |
|

In the Month drop-down list, select the user’s birth month. |

In the Year drop-down list, select the user’s birth year. |

Click inside the calendar to select the user’s birthdate. |

Click OK to set the date and return to the Demographics tab. The Birth Date field will display the date you just selected on the gadget. |
Important Considerations When Using this Gadget

The Age field is a read-only field that is calculated by SirsiDynix Symphony when you enter a user’s birthdate. |

|
On the Modify User wizard, when you click Modify User after resetting the Birth Date, the Age field displays on the Demographics tab. |

•
|
On the Summary tab of the Display User wizard, the Age field displays along with the Birth Date. |
|
•
|
The Age field does not display on the Copy User wizard or the New User Registration wizard. |
