Amount Range Gadget
The Amount Range gadget is used to select a dollar amount or range of amounts using the mathematical operators.
To select an amount range
1 | Click the Amount Range gadget. ![]() |
2 | Click one of the following operators. |
• | Equal To = |
• | Less Than < |
• | Greater Than > |
• | Not Equal To < > |
• | Between _ and _ x–y |
3 | Type an amount in the corresponding text boxes. You can type up to eight characters in the ”dollar” box, and only two characters in the ”cent” box. If you do not type a value in the ”cent” box, the system interprets the ”dollar” value as a whole number. When you type a value in the box, a single zero is provided after the decimal. |
4 | Click OK. |
Operators
The following operators are available.
The selected amounts will be exactly the amount specified in the text boxes. You might select Equal to 0.00, if you want to select all that ”have not yet been” assigned a specific amount.
The selected amounts will be less than the amount specified in the text boxes. This would be a good selection if you wanted to eliminate ”the highest amounts” from report results.
The selected amounts will be more than the number specified in the text boxes. This would be a good selection if you wanted to focus on ”the highest amounts” such as which users have the highest budgets, or the highest priced orders or invoices.
The report results will not include the amount specified in the text boxes. You might select Not Equal to 0.00, if you want to select only those that have been assigned some amount.
The report results will include amounts falling between the amounts specified in the text boxes. The amounts named in the range are not included in the results. (Between 0.00 and 30.00 reports only amounts of $0.01 through $29.99).
