Accountability Tab
The Accountability tab displays only if your library is configured with the Accountability module.
The Accountability tab contains the following fields, which provide security information about a user.

The following fields are defined for the Accountability tab.
This field contains the information category that the user is restricted to using. This field is the second level of security, after Clearance, that a user must meet before checking out accountable materials. The information categories are based on library-specified policies.
This field displays in the Accountability Info section of a user record and contains the user’s birth date.
This field displays in the Accountability Info section of a user record and contains the user’s birth place.
This field contains the date the user was briefed about his restricted access to materials containing the Restriction Access category that the user is restricted to using.
This field displays the citizenship of the user. Select a Citizenship value from the list. The list field contains any citizenship abbreviations entered in the policies by your SirsiDynix Symphony administrator.
This field contains the level of clearance assigned to the user. The Clearance field is the first level of security a user must pass before classified items can be charges to the user. Select a Clearance value from the list. This list contains values defined in the policies by your SirsiDynix Symphony administrator.
Note: This field is required for SirsiDynix Symphony systems using the Accountability module. There must be a valid entry in the Clearance field when creating or modifying a user.
This field contains the name of the person or organization who authorized the clearance level of the user. This field does not need to be the name of a SirsiDynix Symphony user.
This field contains the User Access policy value of the person who modified the accountability record.
The user access of the operator who created (or duplicated) the record displays in this field. This field is maintained by SirsiDynix Symphony and cannot be modified.
Automatically supplied by the system, the date that a record was created (or duplicated) displays in this field. This date is automatically maintained by SirsiDynix Symphony and cannot be modified.
This field contains the date the record was last modified. This information is automatically updated by the system. NEVER is the value for records not modified since creation. The dates modified for a user’s accountability information, access restriction information, and need to know information are all maintained separately.
Use this field to select the type of information the user is allowed to access. This field is the third level of security the user must meet before checking out accountable materials in the assigned subject area.
This field contains the login of the staff member who last edited or updated the user’s need to know information.
This field defines a type of user and must contain a User Type attribute from the User Access policies.
This field contains the login name of the staff member who last edited and updated a user’s restricted access to materials containing the Restriction Access category that the user is restricted to using. This field is automatically input by the system.
This field contains the date the user’s Access Restriction or Need to Know categories will be reviewed so they can be changed if necessary.
This field contains a user’s social security number. Digits must be separated with hyphens, such as 123-45-6789.
