Reconciliation Report Output Selections Tab

The Reconciliation Report Output Selections tab contains options to configure the layout and the amount of detail that will be included in the report output. This tab may include any of the following options:

Print Detailed Output

Specifies how much information should be included in the report output. Enabling this option instructs SirsiDynix Symphony to print out information about each payment, including the following:

Payment Date
Item Library
Payment Library
Pay Type
Bill Reason
Payment Amount
User ID
Item ID

SirsiDynix Symphony sorts the information in this output by Payment Date.

If this option is not enabled, the report only prints matrices listing the paid amounts according to payment type and organized according to bill reason.

Payment Disbursement

Specifies how payments should be disbursed within the payment matrices. Select one of the following options:

Payments disbursed by payment library – Disburses payments by the library at which the bills were paid.
Payments disbursed by billing library – Disburses payments by the library which created the bills.
Payments disbursed by item library – Disburses payments by the library to which the item(s) associated with the bills belong.

Use convenience fees to cover deductions from gross amounts

Specifies whether SirsiDynix Symphony should use the funds received in convenience fee charges to cover costs incurred by the payment service (for example, ProPay) and the credit card services (for example, MasterCard). SirsiDynix Symphony lists any convenience fee funds left over after covering the payment service and credit card service costs in an ADMINISTRATION line on the Disbursements tab of the spreadsheet output. This option is disabled by default.

Important: If this option is enabled and the amount in convenience fee funds cannot completely cover the costs incurred, the report terminates without producing any output.

Note: It is not recommended that sites run this report with this option enabled for disbursing both online payments that include convenience fees and payments made with a card swipe device. This is because, in this scenario, it is more likely that the amount in convenience fee funds will not completely cover the costs incurred, resulting in termination of the report.

Instead, sites that accept both online payments that include convenience fees and payments made with a card swipe device should run this report twice, once for each type of payment accepted.
