Enter Source of Subject Gadget

The Enter Source of Subject gadget appears for the Source of Subject field on the Authority tab for entries. Source of subject is used primarily by UNIMARC formats, but can also be used for MARC21 formats.

To add a source of subject

Click the Enter Source of Subject gadget.

For the Should this Variation Be Used Based on Source of Subject? field, click one of the following options:

Yes

•

No

If you click Yes, the drop-down list becomes available. Type a source of subject string, or select SPACE from the drop-down list. Click OK to save your changes.

Note: The SPACE character will display as a hyphen ( - ) in the Source of Subject field.

If you click No, then click OK, the gadget will clear the Source of Subject field, and then close.
