Name Label Wizard

The Name Label policy is used by both the Serial Control and Acquisitions modules. For Serial Control, this policy provides enumeration captions. This policy appears on the Patterns tab of a serial control record. For Acquisitions, this policy is used by the Parts in Set gadget to standardize the entry of volumes and parts.

From the List Policies window, you can create, display, modify, copy, or remove the Name Label policies. Click Close to exit the wizard.

The Name Label policy contains the following attributes.

Description

Name

This attribute uniquely identifies each Name Label policy. This name is ten characters or less, and may not include spaces or punctuation, except for dash (-), underscore (_), dollar sign ($), and period (only if it appears as the last character). Additionally, the pipe character (|) may not be used.

Description

This attribute provides more information about the policy and its use by the library. The description may be up to 60 characters in length. Although the Description attribute may contain spaces and punctuation, the pipe character (|) cannot be used.
