Allow Lookup By User Alternative ID Policy

The Allow Lookup By User Alternative ID policy is a Global Configuration policy that is read by the WorkFlows client at startup and stored as a global variable. This policy determines whether or not you have the option to search users by their alternative IDs where wizards prompt for user IDs. When this policy is set to Yes, wizards will display an Alt ID prompt instead of a User ID prompt if the Display of User ID Field global configuration policy is set to No.

This policy appears on the User Information tab of the Global Configuration wizard. The default value for this policy appears in the Select a Policy window. To modify this value, select Allow Lookup By User Alternative ID and click Modify. Click a radio button to select one of the policy attributes. Click Save to save your selection. The default value is Allow Lookup By User Alternative ID.

Click this radio button to prevent searching users by their alternative IDs where wizards prompt for a user ID. The Display of User Alternative ID Field policy must also be set to No for this option to work.

Allow Lookup By User Alternative ID

Click this radio button to allow searching users by their alternative IDs. If the Display of User ID Field global configuration policy is set to No, wizards will display an Alt ID prompt instead of a User ID prompt.
