FAQs: Extended Information Formats and Entry Lists Linked to Wizards

Which extended information lists are linked to which wizards?

When records with extended information are created, modified, and displayed in SirsiDynix Symphony, the extended information entries that appear are determined by the entry lists that are linked to certain functions in SirsiDynix Symphony. The following table illustrates which functions use which entry lists.

SirsiDynix Symphony Function

Entry List Used

Wizards that use CREATE commands, such as New User Registration, Create a Serial Control, and Create a Booking wizard

TEMPLATE

Wizards that use EDIT commands, such as Modify User, Modify a Serial Control, and Modify Booking wizard

TEMPLATE

Wizards that use DISPLAY commands such as Display a User wizard, Display a Serial Control wizard, and Display Booking wizard

FULL

User status inquiries in the e-Library My Account or User Services

FULL

Reports, in general

FULL

Reports, user addresses and vendor addresses, printed labels, and pipe-delimited output files

BRIEF

If you add any entries to a user record that are in the BRIEF or FULL entry lists that are not also in the TEMPLATE, SirsiDynix Symphony saves those entries to the user record, but they will only display within the Modify User wizard. If you do not have all of the TEMPLATE entries in the FULL and BRIEF entry lists, they will not appear or print in reports.
