Allow Non-Admins to Install Client Updates Policy

At this time, non-Windows administrator users cannot upgrade the WorkFlows client. However, this functionality will be restored in a future version of SirsiDynix Symphony.

For sites that do not use Microsoft® Active Directory® or Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager to deploy WorkFlows to multiple workstations at once, some setup is required to support future non-Windows administrator updates of the WorkFlows client. For more information, see the "Setting up WorkFlows to allow non-admin client updates (non-SCCM/AD sites only)" section of the SirsiDynix Symphony WorkFlows Client Installation Guide for Windows Workstations.

The Allow Non-Admins to Install Client Updates policy is a Global Configuration policy that specifies whether or not a user needs to have logged in as a Windows user with administrator privileges to be able to upgrade the WorkFlows client to the newest version. If set to Yes, WorkFlows allows non-admin users of the workstation the option to update WorkFlows to the newest version without administrator intervention if users attempt to log in using an out-of-date version of WorkFlows.

This policy is only available to users using a Windows workstation.
