Wrapping Information Rules

Wrapping information rules are applied automatically to call numbers. There may be instances when you get an unexpected result splitting your call numbers because of these wrapping information rules. For example, if an element is truncated after one line, it may be because you did not change the maximum number of lines in the Label Designer. Or, if you set the maximum number of lines in the Label Designer to 5, for example, 5 lines will not display.

A label element cannot exceed 2 lines, with the exception of predefined call numbers.
If a label element does not fit on 1 line and the maximum number of lines set in the Label Designer is greater than 1, WorkFlows attempts to split the call number at logical places such as spaces or punctuation if possible.
The Maximum number of lines field in the Label Designer applies to 1 line in your label. Here is an example—you have 2 elements on 1 line, Title and Bibliographic Date, and you set the maximum number of lines to 2. WorkFlows attempts to wrap both elements on 1 line if possible. If these elements do not fit on 1 line, then they wrap to a second line.
The maximum number of lines per label element is 2, with the exception of the predefined call number fields. You can specify less than 2 lines in the Label Designer by setting the maximum number of lines (per line) to 1.
